It’s Always OK to Ask:

(and information can help us feel safe)

Where are you located?

My office is located in Downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas.

What age of clients do you work with?

I currently work with humans 18-100.

What are your hours?

I offer sessions Monday - Thursday, typically between the hours of 8 and 4. I often see clients through typical lunch hours to accommodate lunchtime appointments for clients with an 8-5 schedule.

How long do sessions typically last?

Each session generally lasts about 50 minutes. It is important that I have a few moments in between clients, so that I can enter into each session regulated and refreshed for each client.

What is your hourly rate?

Your cost of a session depends on if you plan to use your insurance coverage vs private pay. If you plan to use your insurance, you can be expected to pay your plan’s copay rate for mental health care at the time of each session. For private pay, each session is $160.

Accepted forms of payment include FSA/HSA cards, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

What insurance do you accept?

I am currently accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ambetter, AETNA, and Cigna.

Do you offer phone/video sessions?

At this time, I offer video sessions but do not offer phone sessions.

Is what I talk about with you confidential?

Yes, what we talk about in therapy is confidential. This means that I will not share any information we discuss without your permission. However, there are a few important exceptions:

  1. If you are in danger of harming yourself or others, I am legally obligated to take action to ensure safety, which might involve sharing information with others to protect you or someone else.

  2. If I believe a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult is at risk of abuse or neglect, I am required to report this to the appropriate authorities.

  3. If I am subpoenaed by a court of law, I may be required to release information, though I would inform you if this occurs, if possible.

Other than these exceptions, your confidentiality is protected by law and is a central part of our work together. If you ever have any concerns or questions about confidentiality, feel free to ask, and we can discuss them further.

Can you prescribe medication for me?

As an LCSW, I am trained to provide therapy and support for mental health concerns, but I am not licensed to prescribe medication. However, if I believe that medication might be helpful for you, I can refer you to a psychiatrist or another medical professional who is qualified to assess your needs and prescribe medication if appropriate. In our work together, I can also help you explore how medication might fit into your treatment plan and provide ongoing support as you navigate that process.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

There will be no charge for appointments that are canceled and/or rescheduled more than 24 hours in advance. However, cancelations/rescheduling less than 24 hours, as well ‘no shows’, will face a fee of $50.

Clients who are unexpectedly unable to attend in person can reach out to me via text message or phone call to request a switch to telehealth at no charge.
